Nike ACG has had a lasting impression on both fashion and the brand as a whole, with many of the sub-label’s creations having attained cult status today. And before we can see what’s next up for the line-up, the Swoosh’s mainline is offering additional forms of tribute.
The latest homage arrives by way of the Air Presto, whose insole features an extremely subtle (and almost horror-inspired) cameo from the Hike Nike Man. His white, toothy smile and empty eyes come out from the foot bed’s dark black void, signaling the colorway’s ACG influences. And If not for this graphic callout, the inspiration would not be quite as clear, mistaken for a simple nod to the All Conditions Gear colors. In actuality, the polka dot toe and bright palette are a reference to the bearded mascot himself — most notably, his patterned shorts and red-Swooshed tee.

In other news, the Dunk High University Red is releasing this March.
