The Nike Air Max Motif Is Also Releasing In Adult Sizes

On March 26th, 1987. Tinker Hatfield revolutionized the sneaker industry with the design of the Nike Air Max 1. Decades later, the silhouette has inspired dozens of models across the NIKE, Inc. roster. And as it celebrates its 35th anniversary, the trend continues.

Recently, a similar-looking pair emerged with some notable modifications. Touted as the Nike Air Max Motif, the newly-surfaced silhouette maintains a number of heritage-derived details, including curved reinforcement panels across the upper, a visible Air unit towards the heel and a waffle-patterned outsole. “Grey Fog” and “Light Smoke Grey” tones come together to allow the titular “Photon Dust” that appears around the forefoot and upper eyelets to revel in the spotlight (Hatfield’s original sketch of the AM 1 is believed to have featured similar yellow flair). Underfoot, the semi-translucent midsole also reveals foam donning the same color for an ensemble that’s equal parts heritage and modern.

Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.

Elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella, the “White” NOCTA sneaker debuts on March 3rd.
