Kyrie Irving hasn’t had the most conventional 2021-22 NBA season. And with his Brooklyn Nets currently sitting in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, he might enter the off-season earlier than he has in previous years. Regardless of what happens on the court, however, the 29-year-old continues to tease his Nike Kyrie Infinity in new colorways.
Often referred to as the “Kyrie 8,” the latest model in Irving’s signature sneaker line doesn’t deviate too much from past offerings. The mix of mesh and leather throughout most of the upper has allowed the guard and his Swoosh partners to present the basketball shoe in handfuls of new color combinations. The design inspiration behind the latest – which boasts shades of blue and rich gold – hasn’t been revealed, but the left shoe’s tongue features a pair-specific emblem that gives some insight as to what informed the Kyrie Infinity’s upcoming colorway. A single embroidered line creates two opposite-facing arrows, giving way to the “Future Past” moniker given to the style. No more nods to time appear elsewhere on the shoe, though inner-lining and tread further indulge in the vibrant tones that animate the upper.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch before the second-half of 2022 commences.
