The Nike ACG Air Mada may be unknown by those who either didn’t grow up in the 1980s and ’90s or haven’t done their footwear history, but it’s boasted a loyal following since debuting in 1994. Recently, the shoe has appeared in a new beige color accompanied by clay green and mauve accents.
The healthy mix of materials throughout the upper harkens back to a different era in the Swoosh’s outdoors-oriented endeavors. Synthetic leather and durable canvas divvy up the aforementioned tones, with base layers opting for a shade of green that appears bluish at specific angles. Detailing on and along the tongue deviate in a spring-ready purple, as do the Nike ACG logos on the lateral heel, “NIKE AIR” branding on the spine and its nearby pull tabs. Likely in order to combat the wear and tear and elements, the Mada features an all-“Black” outsole, which delivers aggressive and responsive traction suitable for all conditions.
No firm release details have been disclosed, but the shoes are likely to hit Nike SNKRS before summer gets underway. In any case, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
