This Kids’ Nike Air Huarache Shows Some Love To The Miami Hurricanes

Despite being the original Nike school — as contracts of that nature were rare during the late ’80s — the University of Miami’s signature colors have been overshadowed by the popularity of “University Blue” as well as Georgetown-inspired colorways. Soon, however, the Hurricanes may once again see the spotlight thanks to this upcoming Air Huarache.

Cast atop the shoe’s kids-sized trim, the colorway celebrates the school without being overly proud. Though present and visible, the hits of green and orange are subtle relative to the rest of the upper, whose base and leather overlays opt for a white and off-white shade, respectively. The warm tone, then, marks the logos across the forefoot and tongue, while the tread and heel piece round out the homage with its much darker, forest-like tone.

Enjoy a close-up look at this Air Huarache right here, and sit tight as we await its release at Nike.com and select retailers.
