The upcoming 2022 NBA offseason will potentially be an eventful one for Russell Westbrook. His first campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers was one to forget as his style of on-the-ball play just didn’t mesh well with the Laker style of hoop. There’s a chance that the former MVP and triple-double machine will be suiting up in different colors this Fall, so we’ll have to wait and see if the LA front office will make any earth-shattering moves in the summer.
For now, let’s focus on his shoe, the Jordan Why Not .5: Dressed in a white, bright crimson, and black, this upcoming kids release ostensibly channels in iconic “Infrared” colorway of the Air Jordan 6, a color palette that was a trademark look of Nike footwear at the turn of the 90s. The shade of red is actually a Bright Crimson, so it’s a little dimmer than the high-vis Infrared 23 used din other Air Jordan footwear.
Currently, GS sizes are expected to release (and have already dropped overseas). We’ll let you know if and when these arrive in adult sizes. In other Jordan news, the Jordan 6 “Midnight Navy” is set to drop on May 11th.
