Sneaker News In the mid-2000s, Jordan Brand heard the cries of Jordan fans and finally brought the Air Jordan 5 back into the retro circuit. Prior to the Green Beans, Burgundys, Laser, and the OG Grapes and Fire Reds, the last time the Air Jordan 5 was available at retail was in 2000 — the first such re-issue of the model.
Since then, the Air Jordan 5 has been a common item in Jordan Brand’s annual product offering, and for summer 2022, they’ve brought back this memorable colorway that first graced store shelves in 2006. Featuring a fully reflective silver upper and a “green bean” color accent package, this Air Jordan 5 release was one of the year’s more memorable drops, despite the aggressive creasing that came about when wearing the shoes. Still, the Green Bean Jordan 5s hold a significant place in our hearts, and on the day of the release, we expect that nostalgia to rush back in full force.
The Air Jordan 5 “Green Bean” is officially back tomorrow, May 28th on Nike SNKRS and Jordan retailers globally for $200; see this detailed look ahead and good luck on the morning’s scheduled release.
