Over its 50-year history as “NIKE, Inc.,” the Oregon-headquartered company has been self-referential with its work. Recently, the Nike ACG Air Mada appeared in an ensemble that seemingly nods to the “Bison” SB Dunk from 2003.
Clad in the titular brown tone, as well as “Black,” “Hyper Crimson” and “Total Orange,” the upcoming trail-ready shoes deliver 1990s flair to the modern era. Canvas base layers are overlaid with smooth “Bison”-colored leather, creating an ensemble for seamless transitioning from street to backroad. “ACG” and “NIKE AIR” logos at the heel deviate from their surroundings in a near-fluorescent shade of red, while detailing on and around the tongue opt for an equally-vibrant citrus hue. Underfoot, the latest Nike ACG proposition keeps things simple in a pitch-dark tone, differing from the “Bison” Dunk Low that precedes it by almost 20 years.
No firm Nike SNKRS launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
