This Upcoming Nike Air Rift Swaps Out Its Mesh For Suede

While not a perfect alternative to Margiela’s ever-beloved Tabi Boot, the Nike Air Rift does proffer the divisive split toe. And thanks to the more affordable price point, it’s likely some will lean more towards the Swoosh’s creation — especially now that it’s adding a robust suede to its toolbox.

More sophisticated than previously-released options, this Air Rift swaps out its mesh construction for one primarily made with suede. In “Light Bone,” the material dresses the exterior paneling as well as the ends of the elasticated strap. The synthetic internals, then, poke out from the side and collar, flaunting a desaturated, grey shade that contrasts both the aforementioned as well as the “Honeydew” hits along the overlays’ edges, embroidered branding, and outsole.

For a closer look at this upcoming Air Rift, see the official images below. With Summer in full swing, sizes should appear on Nike.com very soon.

Speaking of Summer, the Sasquatch Crocs Pollex Clog was unveiled earlier this week.
