Raptors Invade This Latest Colorway Of The Jordan Zion 2

While the dispute over the “Raptors” nickname has yet to be put to bed, it doesn’t quite apply to the Jordan Zion 2, does it? The newest signature shoe for the recently extended Zion Williamson has appeared in a brand new colorway draped in a buttery suede purple, sharp black, and bright crimson hits that nod to the franchise of the North.

While Toronto has no connection to Zion, the “Raptors” nickname has always been the center of a debate in the Air Jordan community. The nickname was given to the Air Jordan 7 when it re-released in 2002, a somewhat sensible choice given the red and purple accents on that OG colorway. However, when the True Reds first released, the Toronto Raptors didn’t even exist as the expansion team’s first year in the league was in 1995.

This Jordan Zion 2 is set to release later this Fall for $120 in full family sizes; see the official images ahead for a closer look.
