The Nike Dunk High Up is a newer proposition under the Swoosh’s umbrella of products, but the silhouette is rooted in the late Peter Moore’s made-for-basketball design from 1985. Recently, the women’s-exclusive offering emerged in a muted mix of “Flat Pewter” and “Sail” colors.
Construction across the pair’s upper references the original Nike Dunk‘s blueprint, though it updates panel layering at the quarter area and heel, while also reimagining branding on the profiles. An off-white-colored smooth leather sets the stage for the titular “Flat Pewter” tone, which arrives via overlays around the toe and elsewhere. Much of the color story stays the same underfoot, with the exaggerated midsole opting for a “colorless” look that allows for the outsole’s beige trim to revel in the spotlight. Soft pink, however, delivers some flair via the standard-sized profile swooshes, leather underlays peeking out at the sides and components at the spine. Together, each aforementioned detail makes the women’s Dunk High Up yet another example of good design being timeless.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch soon.
