adidas Skateboarding’s rolodex of collaborators includes some of the sport’s most influential skaters. Jason Dill and his label Fucking Awesome, for example, are an important part of the Three Stripes family, and they’re about to release yet another collection helmed by both the Experiment 01 and Experiment 02.
“For this version of the Experiment 01 silhouette, I really wanted to do something different,” stated Dill. From its hits of khaki to its subtle army green touches, the colorway subtly references some of the shoes the Fucking Awesome founder liked to skate back in the 90s. Underlying camo prints, which feature eyes throughout much of the pattern, then tie everything together aesthetically, all the while paying homage to the outdoors.
In contrast, the accompanying Experiment 02 is much more simple, dressed in an unassuming “Triple Black” colorway. The burgundy insole, though, proffers a hint of color, as do the eight different flags etched onto the tongue label.
For a closer look at both sneakers, see below. The Experiment 01 is already available via fuckingawesomestore.com, with a wider release scheduled for August 13th via adidas.com and select skate shops; the Experiment 02 is slated to follow at the same spots on August 13th.
