As the world continues to wait for more high-profile collaborations, the Nike Air Force 1 keeps churning out compelling colorways on its own, with the latest pairing shades of off-white with metallic silver accents.
While far from being a joint-effort with the late Virgil Abloh, the newly-surfaced offering indulges in a color palette and blocking reminiscent of some of the Off-White-frontman’s work with the Swoosh. Smooth leather across the iconic Bruce Kilgore-designed upper indulges in the most muted of tones found on the sneaker, with oft-imitated sole units deviating in both material and color. The “aged” look achieved by the slight yellow finish harkens back to the 1980s, the Air Force 1 Low’s debut era, while also falling in-line with current footwear trends. Profile swooshes and upper heel overlays are clad in a shimmering silver hue that contrasts the remainder of the ensemble, but works well with the aforementioned components.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch before 2022 ends.
