Remastering iconic hoops styles of the past with modern technological innovation has quickly become a point of emphasis for basketball’s biggest brands over the past half decade. Silhouettes like the adidas Agent Gil and T-Mac 3’s have recently enjoyed a restomod makeover by the three stripes and this time around they’ll be tapping the postseason-ready style that celebrated the youngest MVP ever in the adidas Adizero Rose 1.5 Restomod.
An ode to the style of play that encapsulated the entirety of the League for the initial years of his career, the 1.5 reinstates classic details from the 2011 release with black suede uppers and patent leather toe caps with an enhancement of tech-filled construction including the Lightstike midsole and a “Light Granite” Puremotion outsole. “Vivid Red” animates the otherwise clad in black colorway, cascading up the three stripes heel branding and outsole alongside hits in the upper tongue, eyelets and mesh collar.
