Bruce Kilgore’s Nike Air Force 1 has had anything but a quiet 2022 as its emerged in dozens of colorways to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Recently, the made-for-basketball design emerged in a luxurious mix of materials and clad in fall-friendly “Vachetta Tan,” “Flax” and “Sail” colors.
Reminiscent of the “Acorn” style that debuted exclusively in Japan near the turn of the century, the newly-surfaced pair features its most understated tones across its leather base and foam midsole. Overlays around the toe, along the tongue and across the heel deviate in a light brown suede construction that welcomes the colder season with open arms, while profile swooshes and upper heel panels opt for a dark brown leather build that suits the Air Force 1 Low well. Underfoot, oft-imitated outsoles also favor an autumn-appropriate brown makeover.
No firm Nike.com release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as autumn gets going. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
