While the “Light Bone” colorway of Jumpman’s latest signature silhouette, the Air Jordan 37, released earlier this morning, its predecessor continues to place a significant spotlight on the backstories and journeys of their youthful roster of signature athletes. From Jayson Tatum’s “Mustang” PE to Luka Doncic’s “El Matador” monicker, the Jordan 36 is paying homage to Rui Hachimura’s Japanese heritage with an elegant Sakura fabric print.

True to its namesake, the floral textile fills the midfoot with red, pink and green flowers in an embroidered finish while the nation’s bird of happiness and good luck – a crane – additionally appears throughout the jacquard upper. The pre-established red and forest green combination is further employed as the midfoot panels trim, placed between the black suede collar and semi-translucent mint tread underfoot. Premium accents continue to flow through the model by way of golden eyelets and a suede lace fastener, while additional titular hits of the alloy hue profers the heel tabs and inner tongue’s Japanese text, adjacent “NIKE AIR” branding and Rui’s emblem stitched to the tongue for a lavish conclusion.
