Everyone has a specific memory associated with a certain pair of kicks that gets jogged every time the box’s kraft paper is pulled back. Those heralded reminders serve as one of the most vital connections sneaker heads hold to their everyday feet’s, and now Vault by Vans is choosing to capitalize on those same recollections for their latest collaboration with Ukrainian streetwear brand TTSWTRS – short for Tattoo Sweaters.
Having been in the works for the past three years, the recently released footwear collection seeks to capture four separate unique moments in time inspired by the wearer’s favorite moments in each pair of kicks.
The first memory evoked comes by way of the OG SK8-Hi LX which tells the story of a Punk Metal fan sleeping away the past night’s concert on a park bench, paying homage to the rebellious periods of our lives. The second is anchored by the OG Style 24 NTC LX which nods to the lifestyle brand’s ties to the imagery and artistry explored through tattoos while the third proposition embarks on childhood themes across the OG Authentic LX, telling the story of accidentally breaking grandma’s priceless vase and blaming it on her cat. The fourth and final offering concludes with the OG Style 24 NTC LX which denotes the aesthetic of a poorly tasting medicine.
Officially released last Thursday, the four-piece collaborative collection by Vans Vault is available now at TTSWTRS.com. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the capsule below.
