The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sport Spice” Is Ready For Spring 2023

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sport Spice” Is Ready For Spring 2023

As Jordan Brand continues to broaden its audience and hold on the sneaker space, it keeps revisiting traditionally-overlooked propositions. Recently, Team Jumpman reworked the once-ridiculed Air Jordan 1 Mid with basketball-reminiscent textures and colors.

Clad in off-white and “Sport Spice,” the upcoming sneakers share some design cues with the coveted “Shattered Backboard” series that debuted in 2015. Raised spots land across every bold orange overlay, with underlays at the toe box, mid-foot and collar opting for a smooth cream-like hue. Profile swooshes don a black trim, matching with the “Air Jordan” logo at the lateral ankle flap and Jumpman on the tongue label. Underfoot, the oft-imitated midsole keeps things simple in white, while the celebrated traction reverts to the titular “Sport Spice” tone for a last hit of flair, akin to the women’s “Starfish” release.

Enjoy a first look at the pair ahead, courtesy of Foot Locker, and anticipate a Nike.com launch in the coming months.
