Neither a cult classic or staple amidst the brand’s cushioned lifestyle silhouettes, the New Balance 1600 has remained tucked away in the New England institutions archives for the past half decade. Yet after its return from hiatus with a suede “Beige” construction, the silhouette is receiving a long-awaited revitalization including this all-white proposition.
Devoid of any suede fabrics, crisp white leathers work in tandem with color-matched mesh and stitching, setting the stage for a near all-white outfit. Save the leather quarter overlay, trim of the “N” logo and its ABZORDB-housed sole unit – which all provide a light grey contrast – the remainder of the model and its insignias maintain the colorless shade concluding the simplified two-tone aesthetic.
