Jared Ebanks Jordan Brand is set to enjoy 2023 like no other with Instagram leakers proposing new additions to the rumored lineup for the new year each week. Alongside the Air Jordan 7 “Chambray” from 2006, the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” is rumored to be making its return for the silhouette’s upcoming 30th anniversary.
Iconized by MJ and the Bulls sealing their first three-peat in Game 6 of the 1993 Finals against the Phoenix Suns, the pair is set to make its first comeback since 2013, employing the original tooling of the 1990s construction featuring a dominant jet-black nubuck composition across the entirety of its upper and embossed midfoot strap. Proffering identical details including its chenille “True Red” tongue tab, embroidered #23 and graphical overlays, the heel tab renders a disparate all-black treatment when compared to its 1993 build. Underfoot, a steel chrome accent works in tandem with the aforementioned red and black pairing while introducing the violet blue tread tip and golden yellow Jumpman in conclusion.
