Lil Dre, Maxallure And adidas Skateboarding Bring “Think Beautiful Thoughts” Slogan To Latest Collection

Recently having launched a signature shoe for Nora Vasconcellos, adidas Skateboarding is ready to drop its next full-on collection with the help of cult skate outfit, Maxallure.

A rider-led collaboration, the upcoming footwear and apparel lineup of products sees Maxallure co-founders, longtime friends and San Francisco legends Karl Watson and Nick Lockman bring collegiate style from the 1970s to the modern day. Additionally, Watson and Lockman tapped co-owner and Pro team rider, Lil Dre, for a contribution to the collection, which promotes a “Think Beautiful Thoughts” message. The results?: Modified-for-skate pairs of the adidas Forum 84 and iconic adidas Campus.

“This launch means the world to me,” Lil Dre said in an official press release for Maxallure’s collaboration with the Three Stripes. “adidas is one of my favorite brands, and I want to thank the entire skateboarding team for helping me bring my vision to life. The Forum High is my favorite silhouette to skate in, and I enjoyed doing something different and not often seen with the colorway. Plus, pink is my favorite color!”

The Forum 84 ADV by MXA Dre features a predominantly white color arrangement, though pink flair enters the mix across inner-lining, profile 3-Stripes branding and the cupsole traction underfoot. “Lil Dre” is chain-stitched on the lockdown strap around the ankle, cementing the model’s mark on adidas history. As a further nod to varsity jackets popularized decades ago, Maxallure’s “MXA” branding is embroidered on the lateral ankle, while “8” and “4” figures are debossed on left and heel spines, respectively.

By contrast, the Campus ADV by MXA turns the expressiveness several notches down. In line with traditional adidas Skateboarding options, the shoe features a black-colored suede throughout the entire upper, with the only interruptions arriving in the forms of off-white branding on the profiles, shimmering golden “CAMPUS” text on the lateral side and a punchy blue panel at the spine. Maxallure’s three-letter branding is highlighted underfoot, visible through the iced-out sole unit for a design that emulates gymnasium court logos. The collection’s “Think Positive Thoughts” slogan is printed on the modified basketball shoe’s sock-liners as a final touch.

Enjoy campaign imagery of the full collection ahead, and find items via adidas.com/skateboarding on Saturday, November 19th.
