Despite not finding success on the hardwood with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James has been making a killing with his Nike LeBron 20 silhouette. Recently, the Zoom Air-cushioned design emerged in a festive ensemble perfect for Christmas.
While not an homage to the Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch” that debuted in 2010, King James’ latest proposition has already gotten comparisons to the pair – and understandably so. For starters, the current Nike LeBron design favors a low profile, departing from the majority of James’ most recent signature models. The sneaker’s holiday-inspired outfit also indulges in an eye-catching green color across its textile upper, although the shade of green is more pine tree than Dr. Seuss’ Grinch. Furthermore, the Ohio-native’s take on festive footwear features a number of Christmas-appropriate patterns across the sole unit, profile swooshes, inner bottie and sock-liners, leaving no doubt as to the inspiration behind the shoes. Lastly, the “Christmas” LeBron 20 arrives with lace locks stylized as some sort of hybrid between snowflake and snow globe.
Enjoy official images of the pair in Grade School sizing ahead, and anticipate a full family set of offerings hitting Nike.com sometime in December.
