Jordan Brand continuously struck gold throughout the 80s and 90s, not just with iconic silhouettes and constructions but by coupling the latter with timeless tonal placement and color blocking. Lauded for their returns to the heritage filled archives, the Air Jordan 6’s quintessential “Infrared” scheme is now laying claim to Jumpman’s latest tooling for the hardwood.
Thus far employing the palette of the AJ 6’s “Raptor” ensemble alongside the classic “Oreo” composition, the Air Jordan 37’s mid-top construction mirrors the jet-black Lenoweave upper to its inspirational counterpart, extending the pitch-dark outfit across its mesh tongue, suede heel overlays and protective TPU paneling at the heel. Seldom contrasts above are stitched into the laces with silver dots whereas the textured Jumpman insignia shines amidst a clad sock liner and pull tabs. Underfoot, the full-length Zoom strobel midsole brightens the overall proposition by way of a crisp white treatment, affixed with a cloudy grey heel clip that lays atop the main inclusion of “Hot Punch”. Color-matched with its affixed mini Jumpman, an icy blue sectioned tread coordinates with black and an enlarged titular insignia, further harkening to the 1991 release in its conclusion.
Set to release in men’s and grade school sizing, enjoy official images of the Air Jordan 37 “Infrared” below while we sit tight on further release details expected to be made available within the coming weeks.
