Jared Ebanks Over the past few years Jordan Brand has made a conscious effort towards beefing up their number of women’s-exclusive releases as one of the many pinnacles in its inclusive movement explored a faux pony hair twist onto the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. Three years later, the widely-regarded ensemble is returning spice up the silhouette once again through a 2.0 makeover.
Identical in its placement of jet-black furry detailing washing over its overlays and Swooshes – color-matched at its pitch-dark tongue construction and laces – the once crisp white contrasting base layer now indulges in a classic “Medium Grey” cast. Further updates are made via the silver metallic finish applied to the collar’s winged insignias while underfoot the reconfigured tooling concludes with the 2019 predecessor’s tried-and-true pairing of a white midsole and clad black tread.
