Back in October, Nike lifted the curtains on their 18th annual Doernbecher Freestyle, which featured six different designs from six new aspiring designers. Comprised of classic silhouettes the likes of the Air Huarache and Air Max 90, the collection is expected to see a wider release in 2023, following the in-person auction that occurred earlier in the year. And thanks to Tony Mui, who’s among one of many individuals behind the scenes of the event, we’re getting a much better look at the Air Jordan 1 Low designed by Riddhi Mahajan.
Riddhi Mahajan’s Air Jordan 1 Low is as uplifting as the creator herself, complete with positive messaging throughout: “Radiate Positivity” and “Brand New Day,” for example. The colorway, too, carries a vibrant energy, comprised of many a bold tone and pastel. For starters, the laces are colored in a fashion similar to a rainbow, while the overlays adjacent ostensibly mimic the grass beneath our feet with its deep, lush greens. In addition, the sun rises across the tongue label, daisies bloom just across the heel, and bright blue waters shimmer from the insoles.

In other news, an Air Jordan 1 Low Elephant Print is landing in 2023.
