While crisp white snow coats the ground and ice continues to pose slightly longer commutes, the past few months have instead seen the Nike Air Max 90 prematurely harken the disparate shades and toolings attributed to the warmer spring months. And as a number of cold fronts and winter weather warnings have touched down across the country, The Swoosh has now proffered a timely clad-black construction to combat the messy weather.
Nearly identical to its all-black July effort – which indulged in a Swoosh-coated mudguard – a tightly knit mesh base extends along the sock liner and tongue, forming a monochromatic ensemble through color-matched laces, ridged quarter panels and suede overlays. Finishing the pitch-dark upper with a murdered out sole unit, seldom hints of “Chlorophyll” liven the murky aesthetic throughout the silhouette’s various branding opportunities places along the tongue, heel tab and midfoot AIR MAX text while the Air-infused pair concludes with its faded green hue outfitting the translucent cushioning system and tread underfoot.
While we sit tight on further release details, enjoy official images of the Nike Air Max 90 “Black/Chlorophyll” below in the meantime.
