The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Flight Club” Gets Ready For Takeoff

For 2023, Jordan Brand has produced several different homages to MJ’s famous “Jumpman” photo, specifically drawing inspiration from the Chicago skyline that backlit His Airness himself. This GS Air Jordan 1 Mid is but another means of celebration, one a bit more subtle than its previously-revealed counterparts.

Unlike the Air Jordan 1 Mid’s last nod to Chicago, which displayed the city’s skyline across its mid-panel, this pair is much less overt in its inspirations, preferring to translate the colors of the sunset itself. Light pinks transition to a bright orange across the suede overlays, while the base and adjacent details balance by way of white and black neutrals. And though complementary in its colors, the branding across the insole stands out in its “Flight Club” marking.
