Revived in collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore towards the tail end of 2022, New Balance is drumming up a concerted effort toward an increased slate of hiking-inspired silhouettes for the last few months of unpredictable weather, pairing the weather-resistant tooling of Gore-Tex materials with the New Balance Rainier.
Releasing in a duo of styles, the lighter interpretation boasting a clad “Turtledove” ensemble ditches its typically suede adornment for thick leather overlays which lay claim above the pair’s color-matched jacquard mesh base layer. Coordinated underfoot with a vibrant cream sole unit, the Mt. Rainier-inspired effort returns to its nubuck construction across its darker half. Taking on a more denim-harkened base layer thanks to the secondary pair’s all-out “Eclipse” composition, the gloomy model enjoys further pitch-dark embellishments as black consumes the sole unit while a shimmering metallic finish attributes the lace loops.
Releasing next Wednesday in Europe for a retail price of $170, enjoy official images of the two New Balance Rainier Gore-Tex while we await further details regarding a stateside release.
