Michael Le For this year’s Air Max Day, the Nike Air Max 1 is further celebrating its roots, inflating its Air Unit to a point more reminiscent of the original from ’86. Simple, OG reminiscent colorways are arriving alongside as well, such as the newly-revealed “Mica Green.”
Echoing the color blocking of its oldest predecessor, the Nike Air Max 1 “Mica Green” should feel familiar at a glance. Save for the mudguard, Swoosh, and Nike branding — all three of which are clad in the titular green — the colorway is not too dissimilar to past offerings. Grey suedes wrap the mid-panel as well as the vamp and heel, while white dyes many of the underlying fixtures, from the mesh base to the lace unit and lining.
