Nike Once Again Flips The Air Force 1 Inside Out

Nike is not at all averse to reimagining the ever-iconic Air Force 1. Collaborations, for example, have completely warped Bruce Kilgore’s original design: CPFM has customized it with the lettering of the Air More Uptempo, AMBUSH has turned it into something of a project car, and G-Dragon has used it as his very own canvas. The brand themselves, too, are constantly playing with the classic’s image — and this continues into 2023, as they’ve once again turned the sneaker inside out.

Building upon past experiments, this upcoming iteration of the Nike Air Force 1 “Inside Out” flips the construction of the upper near entirely. Canvas materials are positioned outward, while leather trims help create the inverted effect in a light, vintage-like tone. This aged look is echoed across the midsole, laces, and exposed foam. Hits of blue, then, round out the colorway, highlighting the outsole, lining, heel tan, Swoosh, and the text along the tongue label.
