Since its revival in late 2020, the New Balance 2002R has taken on dozens of compelling ensembles. Ahead of spring, the popular “N”-branded design appeared in a series of monochrome looks complete with tan leather tabs at the spine.
While not to the degree of “Refined Future” pairs, the unreleased sneakers feature high-quality suede across their uppers. Breathable mesh makes up the base layers throughout the collection, which comes together via identical finishes on the Achilles’ Heel. Branding on the sidewalls take on a leather makeup as do the upper heel panels on New Balance‘s next trio. Perhaps a nod to leather craftwork of yesteryear, the aforementioned tab is constructed from a brown material that also lands on the vamp. Elsewhere, logos on the top of the tongue and middle spine introduce a multi-colored component into the mix.
Underfoot, the NB 860v2’s sole unit keeps things simple, allowing “Wet Blue,” “Concrete Grey,” and “Sandstone” color combinations up-top to steal the spotlight.
Enjoy closer looks at the trio ahead as you wait for official newbalance.com release details.
