The Nike Air Max 1 “Unlock Your Space” Encourages Creativity

The Nike Air Max 1 “Unlock Your Space” Encourages Creativity

All eyes are on the Air Max 1 in the month of March as a slew of mens and womens releases are confirmed to drop throughout the 10th annual recognition of Air Max Day. All eyes are indeed on the larger-volume Air units on the Air Max 1, but that doesn’t mean that Nike is going hard with the retro silhouette in its more familiar modern tooling.

Unlike the Air Max 1 “Big Bubble”, which aims for true-to-the-OG specs, this upcoming release utilizes the contemporary mold, which then relies on a unique package of design language that suggests a digital aspect. The Swoosh logos are covered with a warped graphic in a two-toned chrome silver and white, while the heel logo replaces the classic Nike Air with a cored out Swoosh logo that reveals the mesh underneath. A symbolic interpretation of the concept appears on the insole, while the messaging appears above the Air Unit with “Your Space” in tonal white. The interior lining provides a nice pop of color via an orange-to-pink gradient, while a trio of Swoosh logos sits at the big toe.

The Air Max 1 “Unlock Your Space” is set to arrive in 2023, so check out the official images for the time being.
