Jared Ebanks While the NBA was introduced to an 18-year-old LeBron James in October of 2003, it wasn’t until the following week on November 5th when the soon-to-be-crowned King took the floor in his home state of Cleveland, Ohio for the very first time. While dropping seven points, 11 rebounds and eight assists was considered to be a more than underwhelming performance, the accompanying white/red/blue Air Zoom Generation has since overtaken the limelight of that Wednesday night, now releasing next week for the first time since LeBron’s rookie season.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his signature brand while simultaneously honoring his two decades of dominance, his first signature silhouette with the Beaverton brand returns bearing its exact specifications; coating the flat leather forefoot in a dominant crisp white while a cracked embellishment delivers luxurious detailing across the mudguard. Harkening to the Cavalier’s burgundy-hued uniforms from the early 2000s, “Varsity Crimson” envelops the remainder of the upper’s jacquard mesh while luminous, metallic blue accents illuminate the eyelets, heel counter, tongue and trim of the Swoosh. Comprised of the brand’s staple Zoom cushioning system underfoot, the retro pair inscribes the aforementioned early November date in gold along the sock liner in conclusion.
Scheduled to release next Tuesday in adult sizing for a retail price of $180, in the meantime enjoy one last look at the Nike Air Zoom Generation “First Home Game” below alongside our accompanying store list to grab your pair.
