Jared Ebanks Seven years ago LeBron James and his longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter launched UNINTERRUPTED, a digital media company focused on creating a welcoming, open space for society’s professional athletes to tell first-person stories and experiences. Formerly weaving the content space’s imprint within The King’s signature collection through the LeBron 17 and a successively dressed Air Force 1 in 2019, James’ business acumen is returning the hardwood via an UNINTERRUPTED x Nike LeBron 20 collab.
Anchored in the media companies’ synonymous blue and black palette, a luxurious wave of tooling touches down across the latest Nike LeBron 20 composition. Casting a jet-black linen-like fabric throughout a dominant majority of its base layer, the all-consuming tincture comes immediately contrasted by the leather quarter, tongue and laces which receive a lightened splash of “Coconut Milk”. While a monochromatic ensemble is introduced along the forefoot, a luminous “Lapis Lazuli Blue” is derived from the luminous stone that is said to inspire strength, courage and confidence, further instilling the campaign’s pursuit to empower candor. Enveloping the fabric of the upper tongue and sock liner in the latter lush blue hue, color-matched stitching chaperones the exterior Swoosh that’s semi-translucent construction allows the watercolor aesthetic of the bottom Swoosh to shine.
Underfoot, the collaborative effort embarks on a premium golden sole unit with a semi-translucent tread that reveals “SPEAK” written in black brush lettering along the right outsole and “TRUTH” on the left. Accompanied by an onslaught of the media company’s branding, a duo of UNINTERRUPTED dial logos appear on the heel in blue and above the medial side’s Check in an identical pitch-dark embroidery. Elsewhere, the aforementioned hand-painted oceanic print returns to treat the inspirational messaging that litters the insoles.
Encouraging the wearer to “Speak Your Truth”, the Nike LeBron 20 “UNINTERRUPTED” is currently scheduled to release on April 14th. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the collaborative silhouette below.
