As a number of brands clamor for the shortened attention span of the next generation and their appreciation for quickly digestible content, overtly styled, stimulated campaigns have become the norm. Taking jabs at the latter advertisements that run rife throughout the industry, Reebok is stripping away the fluff for a collection of footwear strictly highlighting just that, the shoes.
Inspired by the self-confidence exuded by Gen Z, each of the four 80s harkened silhouettes emblazon their model name atop the tongue tab in large block lettering. Collecting the Classic Leather, Club C 85, BB 4000 II and LT Court, each silhouette receives a duo of colorways for a total of eight options accompanied by a range of apparel pieces.
Fusing the visual aesthetic of the 80s with hues pulled from the 90s performance archives, a synonymous neutral base layer sets the stage of each proposition in white or cream. Accenting grey suede mudguards grace both of the activewear models with the LT Court receiving pulses of either teal or orange whereas the BB 4000 II enacts “Navy/Orange” and “Green/Purple” pairings. In a more simplified vein, the Club C 85 dips its clad blank silhouettes in green and blue highlights, anchoring the fuzzy nylon fabric filling the sock liner. Elsewhere, the Classic Leather finishes the collection in a return to the use of three shades with reds and blues anchoring the Off-White based offering while a bright blue cup sole illuminates the black/white effort.
Scheduled to release next Tuesday, April 4th, for a retail price ranging from $85-$100, in the meantime enjoy official images of the Reebok “My Name Is” collection below alongside our accompanying store list.
For more collaborative propositions, CLOT is rendering its final Nike Cortez team-up in the silhouette’s iconic “Red/White/Blue” colorway.
