With Spring in full swing, the Nike Blazer is matching the ensuing seasons’ energy with a number of titularly hued ensembles. From gingham plaid to a supple neutral base layer, aqua tone hues have invigorated the Blazer Mid ’77 for a lively summer-ready slate. Recently, the recurring shade accompanied the George Gervin-endorsed model in a new inline design feature that doubles up on the brand’s iconic Swoosh logo.
Casting its clad tumbled leather upper in a brightened shade of white, a near Triple-White aesthetic ensues throughout the silhouette tapping the laces, sock liner, tongue tabs and canvas sole unit to further entrench the colorless association. Sprouting grey suede at its mudguard and heel tab, the pair’s mainstay embellishment cuts a miniature-sized Swoosh out of its presiding “Aqua” dipped Check and places the leather remnants along the heel. Stitching both of the Swooshes in color-matched threading, the exterior cut-out comes filled with a disparate treatment of ballistic mesh.
