The Nike Cortez Stays Fresh In “White/Red Stardust”

The Nike Cortez Stays Fresh In “White/Red Stardust”

The Nike Cortez didn’t have a blockbuster 50th anniversary last year, but the celebration has spilled into 2023.

Over the past four months, the vintage running sneaker has emerged in a number of collaborative styles, as well as handfuls of solo efforts. For its latest proposition, the Los Angeles-loved silhouette has taken on a simple “White” and “Red Stardust” color scheme.

The bulk of the upper indulges in a classic “colorless” finish that allows for the slightest bit of contrast to shine. Swooshes on the sidewalls deviate in a deep red tone; upper heel panels follow suit. Underfoot, the story changes up as serrated sole units favor a yellow tinge for an “aged” effect. A muted ruby hue, however, brings some of the upper’s flair down below at the midsole.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for firm nike.com launch details.
