The Nike Air Force 1 Makes A Contribution To The “Athletic Department” Collection

The Nike Air Force 1 Makes A Contribution To The “Athletic Department” Collection

Nike’s history of make-believe institutions doesn’t end with the Roswell Rayguns. Since the fictional team’s inception, the brand has founded and expanded upon many a different organization, from the “Nike Moving Company” to the “Sports & Athletic Company.” The Swoosh’s “Athletic Department,” too, has been steadily recruiting, recently adding yet the Air Force 1 to its roster.

The newest iteration of the Nike Air Force 1 “Athletic Department” subtly recalls the sneaker’s original release from 1982, as it inserts mesh along the mid-panel. This connection is all but severed in the pair’s colorway, however, as said fixture as well as several adjacent accents are dressed in a bright red. Elsewhere, the rest of the construction — save for the “Sail” midsole — is rounded out in the white leathers we’re well-accustomed to seeing on Bruce Kilgore’s beloved design.

Enjoy an official look at the latest Nike Air Force 1 “Athletic Department” a head. While a release date has not yet been revealed, it’s likely pairs will be made available soon via both Nike.com as well as select retailers.

In other news, early images of the upcoming Union LA Air Jordan 1 High have surfaced.
