Back in March of last year, Florida A&M inked a six-year deal with Nike and LeBron James, making the Swoosh the school’s exclusive provider of apparel, footwear, and equipment. And in the year since the partnership began, we’ve seen the NBA’s top scorer lace up many an exclusive FAMU colorway, with two new Rattler-inspired LeBron 20s having just been revealed by Frankie Walker.
This wouldn’t be the first time the FAM have received their own LeBron 20s, as two Player Exclusive offerings were unveiled at the end of last year. But unlike these pairs — which were crafted specifically for the institution’s men’s and women’s basketball programs — these newly-unveiled colorways are reportedly releasing to the public. In true FAMU fashion, both proudly wear the team’s signature colors, doing so in two completely different arrangements. One indulges heavily in orange, dressing much of its construction in said shade; green, then, accents the shoe along not just its trim but also its dual Swooshes, the outermost of which features a snakeskin pattern. Many of these same details are present along the accompanying option, albeit applied atop a white-dominant base.
Enjoy a closer look at the two upcoming FAMU x Nike LeBron 20s ahead. Both are currently expected to release on May 9th, with more information to be shared leading up to the release.
In unrelated news, Galaxy Foams are returning for 2024.
