Michael Le Jordan Brand makes regular use of “University Blue,” celebrating MJ’s alma mater several decades post-graduation. And much like many an Air Jordan, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 will also be paying its respects to the UNC, embarking on its freshman year in another clean, Tar Heels-inspired colorway.
Compared to its last trip to Chapel Hill, this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 is more straightforward in its color blocking. UNC blues are placed center stage, applied across not just the suede overlays but also the laces, outsole, and the mesh of the inset Swoosh. The rest of the shoe is predominantly made up of neutrals: dark greys outfit the base, from the toe box through to the collar, while white paints the midsole as well as the Wings and Zoom Air logos.
