Before his 22 signature silhouettes were stamped with a Swoosh and well before Eric Avar’s magical touch, Kobe Bryant was suiting up in the 3-Stripes throughout the first six years of his career in the League. While the German sportswear behemoth has been routinely returning the late Bryant’s first signature silhouette, adidas has simultaneously drawn up a revitalization for the adidas Top Ten 2010.
Originally released in the 1996-97 season during Kobe’s rookie year, the 2010 brought a reimagined, futuristic aesthetic to the late Feet You Wear tooling. Having originally previewed the latter silhouette’s reinstallation during All-Star Weekend, the model now dresses in a range of color blockings plucked directly from the late 90s including a home “Lakers” ensemble and a duo of opposing white and black options that come decked out with silver metallic accents. Mirroring its OG composition infused with a ballistic mesh upper and tumbled leather overlays, the Top Ten 2010 is expected to be followed by the return of the Crazy 8 in a new range of colorways that further connects future generations with the brand’s on-court roots.
Currently available overseas at adidas Taiwan, enjoy official imagery of the adidas Top Ten 2010 below as we await further news regarding a stateside release.
For more on-court offerings, a detailed look at the unreleased Air Jordan 38 was recently unveiled.
