Taking place each year on what’s considered to be the hallowed grounds of Chinese streetball, Beijing’s Sunset Dongdan tournament will be celebrated in full force this year thanks to the aid of Jordan Brand. Having already been unveiled in its low-top form, the Air Jordan 37 will additionally be joining in on the banner’s upcoming lineup of footwear honoring the heralded outdoor tournament.
Joining a color-coordinated Air Jordan 5 Low, the debut construction of Jumpman’s 37th Game Shoe exercises a dominant use of jet-black hues cast across the mesh and nylon upper, accented by pastel-infused lilacs that dress the surrounding quarter overlay and mudguard. Underfoot, the titular association that we’ve come to expect each summer is anchored along the “Saturn Gold” speckling and miniature Jumpman logo affixed to the semi-translucent heel clip that mirrors the aesthetic of its “Lapis” counterpart from March. Visualizing the night sky just before sunset, the vibrant palette above is stretched across the tread for a marbled finish while sky-filled prints clothe the insoles and added hang tags.
While release date information hasn’t been confirmed, in the meantime enjoy official imagery of the grade school-exclusive Air Jordan 37 “Dongdan”.
For more on-court toolings, Anthony Edwards’ first signature shoe with adidas was recently revealed in first-look imagery.
