Gundam Colors Appear On The Nike Air Force 1 Shadow

Gundam Colors Appear On The Nike Air Force 1 Shadow

Prior to the Swoosh’s collaboration with the franchise, the Air Max 98 crafted its own unofficial homage to Gundam, borrowing the likeness of one of the series’ most iconic mobile suits. Now, more than five years later, this same inspiration seems to have made its way to the Air Force 1 Shadow.

Boasting a construction not unlike that of a mech, the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow is a perfect vehicle for celebrating the franchise. Much like the above-mentioned Air Max, this pair’s nods come purely in the form of color. In addition to a white base, which mirrors the chassis of countless mobile suits, the colorway incorporates hits of red, blue, and gold throughout its Swoosh, trims, and branding. This combination is practically synonymous with the property, appearing on not only the Gundam themselves but also the logos of near every series.

Enjoy a closer look at the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow “Gundam” via the official images below. No release date has been confirmed just yet, but it likely won’t be long before we see these on Nike.com and at select retailers.

In other news, the Air Jordan 14 Laney drops tomorrow.
