Quietly celebrating its 35th anniversary, the New Balance 576 has been routinely cohabitating with the brand’s factories in the United Kingdom which are championed for their overtly premium craftsmanship. While a steady stream of releases has invigorated the archival trail-running proposition throughout the spring, the Steven Smith design now returns to its ’88 construction via the Cumbria, Flimby, UK manufacturer.
Meticulously reconstructing its late 80s composition, pigskin suede overlays come dipped in a “Toasted Nut” hue as pockets of crisp white mesh illuminate the vamp and collar alongside the mid-foot “N” logo. Color-matching the latter along the tongue and laces, the neutral-based ensemble comes accompanied by cracked cream heel tabs and a faded olive heel cap while a clarifying strip of black cleans up the tread underfoot.
Scheduled to release on June 22nd for a retail price of $240, in the meantime enjoy an official look at the New Balance 576 “Toasted Nut” below.
