Social Status x Nike Mac Attack “Silver Linings” Confirmed For July 14th Release

With the Mac Attack Retro era officially underway, Nike is ready to unleash a variety of in-line releases and collaborations throughout the remainder of the year. The first of the latter category that was made known to the public was a project with Social Status that made its way into the hands of the NBA’s resident sneakerhead king P.J. Tucker.

This set of detailed images shared by @hidden.ny on Instagram reveals a closer look at an upcoming silver/grey colorway. The Swoosh, ankle collar, and heel foxing appear via a shiny nylon finish, while the remainder of the upper takes on an aged look via the cracked suede and pre-yellowed treatment on the midsole.

While the shoes appear to be a basic two-toned colorblocking, the added feature by the Whitaker Group retailer is that the aforementioned nylon pieces can be cut away or worn away to reveal a hidden layer beneath. Based on earlier leaked images, the material beneath may be a varsity chenille material. Additionally, this silver version could be one of up to four different iterations that will drop later this year.

Additionally, Social Status has concocted a special shoe-box for the release, likely tied to an overhanging theme for the entire collaboration. Extra shoelaces come in small boxes that mimic gumball candy packaging from a half-century ago.

The Social Status is sure to reveal full details and release info soon, so stay tuned.

UPDATE 7/5/2023:
The Social Status x Nike Mac Attack “Silver Linings” is confirmed to be releasing on July 14th exclusively via Social Status.
