First teased in November 2022, the Air Jordan 2 Low “White/University Blue” (also known as “UNC”) is finally set to release tomorrow, July 8th.
Inspired by a player-exclusive pair once worn by Michael Jordan decades ago, the pair is yet another take on a long-forgotten model from “His Airness”‘ signature sneaker catalog. As with other basketball sneakers of the 1980s, the upcoming retro indulges in a predominantly “colorless” arrangement, as to comply with NBA regulations of the era. A rich “University Blue,” then, animates everything from the branding on the tongue to details at the spine, nodding to Jordan’s alma mater. The old school sole unit underfoot keeps things on-theme with its mix of grey, white, and the titular blue tone.
Enjoy detailed shots of the pair ahead, while you wait to secure your size via Nike SNKRS tomorrow, July 8th. The “UNC” AJ2 retails for $160 USD.
