The Air Jordan 38 “Center Star” Honors The Brand’s WNBA Athletes

The Air Jordan 38 “Center Star” Honors The Brand’s WNBA Athletes

After celebrating the global reach and impact of basketball with a gold-tinted homage to FIBA, the Air Jordan 38 now assumes a clad orange outfit akin to the color-matched WNBA hoodie made popular by the late Kobe Bryant.

Joining the recently revealed Air Jordan 12, the upcoming orange-hued collection pays tribute to the ever-growing women’s game in concert with the upcoming WNBA All-Star game in Las Vegas. As such, the silhouette retains its multi-color star motifs strewn across its insoles while the nubuck toe cap and heel counter introduce a collection of matte brushed stars. The W’s logo makes a clarifying jet-black appearance affixed to the left tongue while the pitch-dark detailing transitions to the heel’s Jumpman insignia.  Elsewhere, everything from the embroidered upper and padded tongue to the full-length Zoom Strobel cushioning system underfoot engages in tonal “Brilliant Orange” shades.

The Air Jordan 38 “Center Star” is scheduled to release on September 25th for a retail price of $200. In the meantime enjoy a detailed look at the pair below.

For more on-court toolings from the Beaverton brand, the Nike KD 16 “Aunt Pearl” recently surfaced in first-look imagery.
