The following article was published on July 29th, 2023:
If 2023 was the year of the “Lucky Green” colorway, then 2024 will serve as the inaugural introduction to the “Green Glow” hue. Having already stricken up plans for an Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, MJ’s third signature silhouette joins the burgeoning footwear collection imbued with the titular shading.
While the “White Cement Reimagined” edition ascertained the height of the model’s popularity, the Air Jordan 3 continues to explore a range of inline styles. In contrast to the silhouette’s many clad-white efforts over the past few months, the “Green Glow” pair extends a dominant black tumbled leather upper. Dark grey elephant panels appear in their typical placement along the mudguard and heel’s foxing as the quarter, collar lining and tread are further injected with the greyscale allure. Elsewhere, the model’s mainstay green tint envelops the midsole, eye stays, perforated collar and the tongue’s embroidered Jumpman; effectively contrasting the latter’s monochrome background.
The Air Jordan 3 “Green Glow” is expected to release in Summer 2024 in tandem with its Air Jordan 1 counterpart. While we await further release details, check out a mock-up of the confirmed color blocking.
