Jared Ebanks From conditioning drills in sandy hills and training with Stephen Curry’s shooting coach to getting married to his college sweetheart, Trae Young has had an eventful offseason that is set to be capped off by the debut of his third signature silhouette with the 3-Stripes.
Initially revealed via his Instagram back in June, the adidas Trae Young 3 strikes up a similar topographical aesthetic that is expected to appear on the Harden Vol. 8 and Anthony Edwards’ inaugural signature. Here, a collection of vibrant hues and jet-black contrasts depict a chilling “Arctic Night”. The engineered knit upper assumes a uniform, colorless ensemble that provides further pitch-dark shades across the tongue construction, laces and duo of pull tabs. Underfoot, the sole unit ditches the silhouette’s familiar use of BOOST cushioning in favor of a shaded pink and “Acid Orange” solution that’s eerily similar to the ridged Adilette 22.
