Jovani Hernandez The Nike Air Force 1 Wild is the latest update to Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design from 1983. Over the last several months, the silhouette has emerged in handfuls of different styles, all favoring tonal makeups.
Recently, the women’s-exclusive offering has appeared in a clean “Phantom” and “Light Orewood Brown” color scheme. Breathable base layers visible at the toe box and mid-foot favor a near-“colorless” hue that sets the stage for darker tan tones. Suede panels land around the forefoot, along the tongue, and across the heel, delivering a trail-inspired aesthetic. Pull tabs at the tongue and protected cushioning underfoot also contribute to the Air Force 1’s journey into the great outdoors. The reworked sole unit also enjoys a clean off white finish that may make more sense on the street than on the tails.
